A qualified attorney, Sigi developed an interest in commercial mediation while studying alternative dispute resolution and mediation at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg in 2006, whereafter she pursued mediation training and accreditation with a number of international and local industry bodies.

With 15 years’ corporate experience spanning law, business and strategy development, finance and B-BEEE transformation, she discovered first-hand the enormous value of mediation, creative problem-solving and co-operation in sectors dominated by complex relationships, emotive and contentious issues, apparent dead ends and high expenses.

In addition to her mediation work, Sigi serves as a guest lecturer on mediation for FH Burgenland University in Austria and volunteers as a mediator at the Wynberg Magistrates’ Court in South Africa.
